Overview
The HESFB 8-Year Impact Magazine is a comprehensive publication documenting the Board’s achievements, milestones, and transformative work in financing higher education in Uganda since its inception in 2014. The magazine captures the journey of empowering students through the Students’ Loan Scheme, showcasing success stories, statistics, institutional partnerships, and testimonials from beneficiaries whose education dreams were realized through HESFB support.
Designed to celebrate the inaugural Board’s eight years of service, the publication also highlights future aspirations, calls for increased stakeholder support, and key recommendations for the incoming leadership team.
The magazine’s tone balances professionalism and inspiration — reflecting both the administrative achievements and the human impact of the program.
Our solution
- Editorial Design & Layout
Conceptualized and designed a clean, modern, and engaging magazine layout.
Developed a consistent visual hierarchy for readability and storytelling flow.
Used bright brand colors (yellow, purple, and grey) to enhance identity and optimism.
Incorporated high-quality imagery of graduates, stakeholders, and HESFB events.

Created editorial consistency with callouts, quotes, and data visualization.
- Infographics & Data Visualization
Designed easy-to-understand charts, graphs, and timelines summarizing 8 years of impact.
Illustrated the growth and performance of the Students’ Loan Scheme through visuals that simplify complex data.
- Photography & Image Editing
Edited and color-corrected photographs to maintain uniform quality.
Enhanced composition and contrast for professional presentation.
- Print & Digital Preparation
Prepared final files optimized for both print and digital publication.
Created a mockup presentation for online showcasing (Behance portfolio).
